Plus Gallery opens the Fall 2014 exhibition season with “The Golden Hour,” Jenny Morgan’s 13th solo exhibition and the fifth to be hosted with us here in Denver, Colorado, where Morgan began one of the most singular careers in American painting of the last decade. Morgan’s latest is not just one of the most anticipated exhibitions for Plus Gallery, but one of the most significant for Denver’s contemporary art community, marking the first time an artist has risen to national prominence via the NYC scene yet continued to maintain a presence in Colorado, where her collector base has always been a signficant part of her career.

Morgan’s newest paintings reflect a color pallet that references the period shortly after sunrise or before sunset during which daylight is redder and softer compared to the midday sun, carrying a vibrance that electrifies the artist’s deeply psychological, intrinsically personal approach to her subject matter. This exciting and provocative exhibition is presented with the support of Driscoll | Babcock, New York, which now represents Morgan on an international level.

Come join us in welcoming Jenny Morgan back to Denver and being the first to see her most recent collection of paintings.
