Gabriel Conroy debuts new fashion collection thursday, July 21st at + Gallery

As + gallery approaches the end of its fourth year in Denver, Ivar and Gilbert are proud to host an event that personifies the gallery's nature as a conduit for progressive community collaborations and representation of the finest creative talents that Denver has to offer. In the fall of 2003 the gallery hosted an evening with local fashion designer Gabriel Conroy, who's reputation as one of Denver's most sought after designers was beginning to take form. His talent and promise as a visionary in the field has grown steadily, with high demand by local charities and the fashionista crowd.

Within the dynamic interior of + gallery, the focus is solely on Conroy as he returns to unveil a new collection that will provide the opportunity to interact with the artist for one exclusive evening. "Undercover" features one of a kind gowns and evening separates inspired by classical European nautical clothing with a 70's James Bond twist. The collection follows the style Gabriel has been developing over the past 4 years with more focus on beading, button holes, and the matching of woven patterns. The original designs are created in fine silk, French cotton Chantilly lace, and blended silk lame' just to name a few. Though all the pieces are for sale, Gabriel's specialty is still in creating custom work to suit the client's needs and taste.

This exclusive evening is hosted by Karen Ringsby, Marci Austin and Karen Zeile. + gallery sponsors Baldoria and the Denver Wine Connection will complement the evening's ambiance with terrific food selections and a wine tasting tailored specifically for the summer.
