PATTI HALLOCK and SUSAN MEYER SELECTED FOR MCA 2005 BIENNIAL

+ gallery is super pleased to announce that two of our represented artists, Patti Hallock and Susan Meyer, were selected to exhibit in the upcoming Biennial at the Museum of Contemporary Art Denver. With over 750 submissions from seven states, and only ten artists selected, we couldn't possibly be more delighted to be represented by these two outstanding artists in what is perhaps the most significant exhibition for regional contemporary artistic talent.

As an emerging artist, Hallock is coming off a slew of honors received last year for her mature photography talents. She mounted her first solo exhibition at + gallery last December with "Nocturnal Suburbia," so this is truly a wonderful accolade for her, and a great sendoff as she most likely will leave for graduate studies on the east coast this year.

Meyer is no stranger to acclaim, being long regarded as one of the most distinct, exceptional artists in the state. She recently completed a residency at Platteforum, and last exhibited the terrific installation "Malfunction Junction" here at the gallery a year ago. Congratulations to our two artists, and the rest of the field which is surprisingly made up of mostly local talent. The juror for the exhibition is artist, writer, and gallerist extraordinaire Kenny Schachter, and the opening date is set for July 8, 2005.
