MUSEUM OF CONTEMPORARY ART DENVER BREAKS GROUND TODAY, MAY 1ST

What better way to begin the month of May than to attend the groundbreaking ceremony for the MCA Denver's new building this afternoon, May 1st. Yes, the time has come for this highly anticipated project to put shovel in the earth and get the concrete pouring, glass glazing, and a terrific new environment for contemporary art to begin forming. The groundbreaking occurs at 4pm, followed by a member reception at 5pm. If you are not a member, you best become one, as you will have the opportunity to hobnob with Mayor Hickenlooper and his wife Helen Thorpe, the architect of the project David Adjaye, councilwoman Judy Montero, as well as Mark Stevens, consul to her majesty (though we're not clear if this is a local majesty or the queen of England.....). Yes, you want to be there, should be there, absolutely need to be there. Contact the MCA for more details 303-298-7554!
